Last summer we did the "I'm Here For You" sale and we're able to give some of you discounts while also raising a few hundred dollars for a local cancer charity. Well we are feeling generous once again and decided to bring it back. It's the one time of year we allow ourselves to get all sappy over here at TOTAL PUNK. These first few months of 41 have been pretty amazing, but the 40th year of my life sucked on every imaginable level and all that got me through it was the love of my family, the help of my friends, and the encouragement of you guys. This is our way of thanking you  and also providing some assistance for others. The original intent of this year was to raise money for a suicide prevention charity, but one of our own hit some rough times so we've decided to keep the money in the family. We've got the debut 7" from Minneapolis's IV coming out at the beginning of September, and IV's Tony Milek had to undergo an emergency surgery for some medical issues, which left him bed ridden and out of work for about four weeks on top of mounting medical expenses, so it only seemed fitting that we send the money raised his way. For those of you who don't remember here is how it works. We'll be running a 15% discount on the entire site for the next week, but this isn't a regular sale. This is a sale for people who have been put through the ringer as of late, and could use a bit of human kindness. People who have lost their job, someone dear to them, have mounting debt... This is all on the honor system so we aren't asking that you send in your sob story in order to be eligible. To take advantage of the sale all you do is enter "I'M HERE FOR YOU" at checkout and you'll get 15% off your order.   However, if life has been good, you're generally content, you got a promotion at work, you are well liked and well adjusted this is your chance to give back.  All of those who don't take advantage of the sale will have the 15% they would have saved donated to help someone else who isn't presently as fortunate as yourself.  It's a chance to feel good about yourself and also score some awesome records.  Last year I had more people than anticipated take advantage of the sale. I tried not to be cynical and assumed that everyone was having as shitty of a year as I, and chipped in more money out of my own pocket so I didn't have such a paltry donation.
