@the ultimate snackrifice Yo La Tengo is a band I sometimes think maybe I should go revisit, then don't. Maybe this will be the year?
@bbqspaghetti901 Sonic Youth is one of the bands I forgot to put on my don't like list
The Joneses compilations that Puke N Vomit put out are very well done. Not a cash grab, very cool liner notes and pics. They did 3 volumes.
Love this thread ❤️ Just started Rachel Kushner’s new novel Creation Lake. It's more "modern serious literature" than trash, but there are some explicit nods to Manchette for the hard boiled...
If I can get passes, I'll be there
@Smith There's legit a dozen places that make terrific wings, but the spot I love most is Adolf's Old First Ward Tavern. It's an old school neighborhood dive and not a tourist trap like Anchor Bar ...
@Luc At Tomorrow Sheer Mag 100%

I love a ton of generic Rawk or Punk n Roll whatever but I'll post that stuff under my "Ry" alter...😜
@Rapid Adapter Nice collection! I have a few Westlake novels I've been meaning to get to for a while, seems like a good year for that. I did pick up the first Grofield book last summer and liked it...
@SukebeGG Those are the best two by far, Steve's for comprehensiveness (to a point) and Paul's for minute detail and great stories about the band's best era. I'll give The Fallen another read somed...
@ExpKind Yeah, I've probably been averaging one Westlake book a month for the last year or so. That "Anarchaos" book is goofy one. Also, here's a pick of my Hard Case Crime shelf.
@Luc At Tomorrow There was a reissue of the Moscow EP by Artcore a couple of years back but it's surprising that nobody has done the LP yet.
Just watched Pusher (1996), very strongly recommend it if you like crime films. Incredibly dark and dingy, and never tries to make you believe that the criminal lifestyle is glamorous in any extent...
