Favorite LP Box?

  • This one is for all my fellow box nerds out there. What's your favorite kind of LP box?

  • used pizza box filled with hamster chips

  • @Smith don't have a hamster. How about some kitty litter?

  • i guess but if we're on discogs you're getting a neutral for that so you know - life is choices bro

  • @Randall I really like those twister boxes you are/were using for a bit

  • I'm fine with magic mailers but sometimes records don't really fit in 'em and worry about fucking up the edges.
Really didn't have much problems with normal pizza boxes for basic mailings. If some mail carrier wants to destroy your box, they can do it.

  • @sicboy Good to hear. Still using them but only. for small orders

  • Long time listener. First time commenter

I'm enjoying the mighty music mailer for ease of use.

I love the sturdiness of Whiplash and Twister, but both seem like you have to put so much packing in there to prevent the LPs from sliding around.

I generally never had a problem with the classic square "bobo" mailers. Easy to pack and with 2 stiffeners, I never got any complaints about bent corners or anything.

  • get on that bulletproof custom-made moerer train, those things gotta be pricey ah

  • @SweetTime I agree on the Whiplash. I reserve those for packages with a few LPs in them, and use the Twister for smaller order. I put two mailer pads in there and they generally feel pretty secure when they leave me. Am I sending people shaky records?!

  • no votes for twister. Damn! I am sending out shaky records!! Twister your days are numbered
